Harriet, we are all rooting for you three. You and your baby's little life are all that matter on the little Spanish farmstead. Time to delegate the farm work out to family and friends!

Hi Harriet, I am sorry you have been suffering with pain. I can empathise as I had an ankle operation last April & still have to take pain medication to be able to work in a busy hospital.

I know it is not a stranger’s place to offer you advice however I was concerned when I read of your plan to have a home birth. Personally I think it would be safer for you & your baby to give birth in hospital given that this is your first pregnancy & you have had a few issues.

Perhaps you could travel back to the UK where you would have family support as well as excellent medical facilities.

Anyway whatever you decide I hope you are able to lead a pain free life again soon!

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling so good Harriet, pain is very draining. Sounds like good old Mauro is being your rock. Truly hope you feel better long enough to enjoy your break and more.

When I read about the heavy rains in Spain, particularly your area, I thought about your farmstead and

the friends who are taking care of it. You will all be able to enjoy the abundance of fruit and veg, less watering for them. Take Care :)

Hi Harriet, if the painkillers have to stop, please consider using moringa, Nigella sativa and curcumine, maybe with some added ginger. Moringa is known to have good pain killing properties as has kurkuma when mixed with 10% black pepper. Please google Moringa and search YouTube for the benefits. Maybe add some magnesium for muscle relaxation too. Wish you well!
